This Series is a pictorial research in the personal, can be read as if they were discs. The notes are the color, the support is the canvas.
Mazliah's paintings are images well immersed in his precarious, liquid reality that transform his worries linked to the instability of his homeland, the departure and the trauma of leaving it.
Each work has two faces, two ways of looking at the world: on one side everything is clearer and more precise while on the other side, the back, there is an inverted world. A more abstract world.
This is one way interpret Mazliah's paintings, a possible interpretation is that of the search for order in chaos: a safe position in which to rest your feet and observe reality.
But his works float because the vision is often blurred as if by fog and rain. the works that deal with local themes and convey different attitudes and ways of living.
